Fred,
My compliments on your description of this fantastic event. I think the only thing left out was that it is a fundraiser for the March of Dimes, Chesapeake Bay Trust and also has the Cynthia Earley Scholarship award for students who raise the most funds for the GCBS charities.

The GCBS is one of the top five open water swims in the United States according to The Open Water Source: www.americastop50openwaterswims.com and is also ranked in the top 100 in the world for many reasons. Please visit us on Facebook (The Great Chesapeake Bay Swim) for more information and bayswim.awardspace.info for a historical perspective. This June, the event crosses the 30 year mark (founded on 6/13/82) and over twenty years as a March of Dimes supporting event.

Thank you to Fred for bringing his wonderful performance into a vivid description of the greatest show in water, the GCBS.
